These Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") govern your use of WordForge, located at wordforge.in (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Service.

1. Use of the Service

WordForge provides free, browser-based tools for unscrambling words, finding anagrams, solving Wordle puzzles, checking Scrabble scores, and browsing an English dictionary. The Service is provided for entertainment, educational, and legitimate word-game assistance purposes.

You agree NOT to:

Use the Service to cheat in competitive tournaments where external aids are prohibited
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to overload, crash, or reverse-engineer the Service
Scrape or bulk-download the dictionary for redistribution
Use automated bots or scripts to abuse the Service
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with us

2. Intellectual Property

The Service's source code, design, branding, and unique features are the property of WordForge. The dictionary is sourced from the public-domain english-words list and is not subject to copyright.

Word lists (such as the Scrabble Tournament Word List) referenced by the Service may have their own licensing terms; WordForge does not claim ownership of those word lists.

3. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or virus-free
All words returned by the solver are valid in every Scrabble tournament or word game
Scrabble and Words With Friends scores are 100% accurate for all rule variants
The dictionary includes every word in the English language

Tournament Scrabble has specific official word lists (TWL, CSW, NWL) that differ from our general English dictionary. Always verify tournament-play words against your event's official word list.

4. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall WordForge, its operators, or its contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, lost tournament prizes, lost game points, or damaged relationships with fellow players.

5. Advertising

The Service may display advertising provided by third parties (such as Google AdSense). We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or for any products or services advertised. Click on ads at your own discretion.

6. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites (such as the dictionary source on GitHub, Scrabble rule references, or game manufacturers). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party websites.

7. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We may also update the dictionary, add or remove features, or change the user interface without prior notice.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
